More new illustrations of Louise Brooks by Corinne Adams

As I stated back on September 9, Corrine Adams is a gifted artist / illustrator and fan of Louise Brooks. And just recently, she sent me a couple more illustrations of the actress. I am so pleased. My previous post depicted six of her illustrations, including Corrine's original "made-up" movie posters for A Girl in Every Port, Beggars of Life, The Canary Murder Case, Pandora's Box and Diary of a Lost Girl. 

The other day, I received another "made up" poster, this time for Prix de Beaute. Corrine wrote that she had recently seen the film, and was impressed, especially at the film's memorable ending. 

Along with these prints of Corrine's film posters, the artist also sent me an original ink drawing of Louise Brooks. I was thrilled. I plan to hang it alongside some of the other original art fans have sent me over the years.

Nifty new illustrations of Louise Brooks

Corrine Adams is a gifted artist / illustrator and fan of Louise Brooks. Recently, she sent me some charming print-outs of her recent illustrations of Brooks, which she said have an "art-deco" look. In the note which accompanied the illustrations, Adams mentioned that she enjoyed "making up my own movie posters." I like them. I think they are pretty nifty.

Louise Brooks Pendants

A Louise Brooks fan named Jann White has created a set of Louise Brooks pendants which she sells through her Etsy page, Relica Design. The pendants are 1" images of the actress under glass, set in silver on a silver chain. Pretty neat.

Jann White wrote to the Louise Brooks Society, "I am from Cherryvale, Kansas, having lived only a couple of blocks from where Miss Brooks lived, (and several years apart!), I have had an interest in her for quite some time." Check 'em out.

Like other Louise Brooks fans, I keep an eye on eBay, where I occasionally have the luck to win something I've bid on. Recently, I won a batch of Louise Brooks clippings, some of which came from a vintage scrapbook. Good stuff.

To my surprise, the clipping arrived in a hand drawn envelope featuring a delightful image of Louise Brooks. I like it so much I had to share it. Thank you to the artist, who I assume was the eBay seller.

Oh, and here is one of the clippings I won, a photo spread for The Canary Murder Case (1929) in which Brooks starred as the Canary. What's unusual about this clipping is that it contains an image (middle right) of the actress smiling.
