On December 7th, A Girl in Every Port (1928), starring Louise Brooks, will also be shown in Madison, Wisconsin. This Howard Hawks-directed buddy film, in which Brooks plays a gold digger who comes between two friends, is considered one of the legendary director's best silent efforts. It screens at the Cinematheque at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, with live musical accompaniment provided by David Drazin.
