I am looking forward to tomorrow's San Francisco Silent Film Festival winter event. It's an all day affair - with a great line-up of films and stars and special guests.
I hope internet friends and members of the Louise Brooks Society attend the event. It's a lot of fun. I"ll be wearing a nifty mini Louise Brooks button. I hope to see you there.
Wonderful, I've read about this event, it's really cool idea to have a festival celebrating the great silents.. would be a dream to go.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky. Have Fun. :)
Zoe-- Yes, but...I like the looks of the film festival in your neck of the woods: silentfilmfest.org.nz . THEY had Brooksie. Wish I could have gone...as George Bolt, airmail pioneer, whose four-leg Auckland-Opotiki journey on 12 March 1920 (carrying the Bishop of Auckland) set a new national single-day distance record.
ReplyDeleteI had no clue Opotiki had one, these things need to be advertised. Auckland should have festive celebrations also.
ReplyDeleteSan Francisco, it's in what looks to be a beautiful city!
